Pike's Peak Country

The Pike's Peak Country was the name of the gold mining region in the western United States near Pikes Peak during the Pikes Peak gold rush between 1858 and 1861. The county was lying on 24 October 1859 at the heart of the outside of the US law Jefferson Territory and consisted up to Organization of the Colorado Territory on February 28, 1861. It comprised the region west of the Kansas Territory approximately west of the 104th longitude and the region south of the Nebraska Territory approximately west of the 104th longitude and south of the 41st parallel.
