The Magdeburg Pioneer Railway was a narrow-gauge railway that existed from 1955 to 1967 in Rotehornpark in Magdeburg .
history
On September 14, 1955, the first, almost 500 m long section in Magdeburg's Rothehorn Park of the Magdeburg pioneer railway was put into operation. A year later, on October 6, 1956, the 2.2 km extended route was driven for the first time. The construction of the exhibition halls and the reconstruction of the town hall then sealed the end of the railway at the end of 1967. A planned extension of the route to the customs port was not implemented.
