Piotr Giza [ ˈpʲɔtr ˈgʲiza ] (born February 28, 1980 in Krakow , Poland ) is a former Polish football player and coach.

Career

The 1.79 m tall and 75 kg heavy midfielder began his career in 1997 with Kabel Krakau , from where he moved to Świt Krzeszowice in 1999 . Cracovia Krakow signed him for the 2002/03 season . In July 2004 he made his debut in the Polish Ekstraklasa . For Cracovia he played a total of 134 games in the 1st and 2nd Polish league between 2002 and 2007 and scored 29 goals. For the 2007/2008 season, Giza moved to Legia Warsaw and was able to win the Polish Cup and the Supercup here in 2008. For the second half of the 2010/11 season Piotr Giza moved back to Cracovia Krakow. Due to injuries he was never able to regain his old form and ended his professional career in 2012. Then he was player- coach in the 5th division at Jubilat Izdebnik and Skawinka Skawina . He played a total of five international matches and was part of the Polish squad for the 2006 World Cup .
