The Pipehead Reservoir is a reservoir in the southwest of the Australian state of Western Australia .
The reservoir is located below Lake CYO'Connor on the Helena River and was created in the 1970s. It serves to protect against flooding in the suburbs of Perth , East Guildford and Guildford, which are located below the river . Most of the lake's water is pumped back into Lake CYO'Connor.
