Pitch mark

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pitch mark is a term used in golf . It describes the imprint in the ground that a steeply falling golf ball leaves in the green .

Since this dent could hinder subsequent players, as it would distract the ball from its path when putting, the pitch mark must be removed professionally by the person responsible using a pitch fork according to the golf label .
