history

Pitsos was founded in Athens in 1865 and manufactured oil and gas stoves. From 1959 the production of refrigerators began, later expanded with TV sets and other household appliances. In 1977, Siemens took over the company as a shareholder in BSH Hausgeräte, and in 2015 all of the shares were sold to Robert Bosch GmbH (also a shareholder in BSH). While the Pitsos products are sold in other countries under the names Siemens and Bosch , the range in Greece carries the Pitsos name , supplemented by household appliance products from the BSH Group. In 2017, the Bosch Group announced that its subsidiary BSH plans to stop production at the historic Pitsos plant at the end of 2018.

capacity

The company employs 1200 people and produces 400,000 devices a year, 30% of which are exported.
