Planum temporale

The surface of the temporal lobe ( lobus temporalis ) after partial removal of the parietal lobe ( lobus parietalis ) is referred to as the planum temporale (from Latin planum "flat", from Latin tempus "temple") . It corresponds to the floor of the lateral sulcus .
