Plasticizing (coating)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under plasticizing refers to the coating of an object with a protective layer of plastic.

Metal objects and wires e.g. B. are plasticized (mainly for cost reasons) instead of galvanizing or painting to protect them from rust.

Plasticization is carried out using extruder machines in which plasticized , i.e. thermally softened plastics envelop the part as a core.
