Bair Dorschijewitsch Badjonow ( Russian Баир Доржиевич Бадёнов * 28. June 1976 in Sugalai , Trans-Baikal ) is a Russian archer Buryat descent. He fights in the Olympic discipline recurve .

Badjonow began at the age of ten years with the archery . In 1993 he won the title at the Junior World Championships. Three years later he was a member of the Russian team in the team competition in Kranjska Gora, and in the same year he took part in the Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta . At the 2000 Summer Olympics he reached fourth place in the team competition together with Balschinima Zyrempilow and Juri Leontiew . He was unable to qualify for the 2004 Summer Olympics .

In 2007 he won a World Cup event in Antalya and in March 2008 he finished second with the recurve bow at the European Indoor Championships in Turin . In August 2008 Badjonow went to Beijing for the third time at the Olympic Games . He made it to the semi-finals, but was defeated by the later Olympic champion Viktor Ruban . In the battle for the bronze medal, he retained the upper hand with five points difference against the Mexican Juan René Serrano .
