Viktor Hennadijowytsch Ruban ( Ukrainian Віктор Геннадійович Рубан ; born May 24, 1981 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian archer in the Olympic discipline of recurve .

Wiktor Ruban was part of the Ukrainian team that won the bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens in the small final against the USA team. In the individual competition he came in 13th place. In the year after the games he finished fourth with his team at the World Cup in Madrid and eighth in the individual. Two years later at the World Championships in Leipzig Ruban reached seventh place with the team, in the individual he only reached 21st.

Before the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , Ruban won a World Cup competition in Boé . At the games he first missed a bronze medal with the team as fourth in the small final against China. Completely surprisingly, he fought his way to the finals in the individual competition. There he was able to prevail with 113-112 rings against the two-time team Olympic champion Park Kyung-mo from South Korea.
