Darrell Owen Pace (born October 23, 1956 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is a retired American archer and two-time Olympic champion.

At 13, Pace bought his first bow with a voucher that included a free lesson. He enjoyed the sport and continued to take classes. At 16 he became the youngest member of the US national team and took part in his first world championships in the same year, at which he was twenty-third. From 1973 to 1976 he won the national championships four times in a row, further victories followed in 1978 and 1980. In 1975 he won the world championship for the first time, a second time in 1979. In 1983 he was second behind Richard McKinney .

In 1976 Pace first took part in the Montreal Olympics, where he won his first gold medal. He was also set up for the following games in Moscow , but since the USA boycotted them, he could not take part. The Finn Tomi Poikolainen won this. He won his second gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles . In 1988 he was only ninth in the individual competition, but was able to win the silver medal in the team with Richard McKinney and Jay Barrs .

In 2004 he was named President of the Board of Governors (BOG) of the National Archery Association (NAA).

In Hamilton , Ohio, a park is named after him, with a plaque indicating him and his achievements. In 2015 he was inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame .
