The list of Olympic champions in archery includes all placements 1 to 3 in archery at the modern Olympic Games . Today’s forms of competition have been part of the Summer Olympics in the individual area since 1972 and as a team competition since 1988 . Before that, archery was an Olympic sport in 1900, 1904, 1908 and 1920 .
