Boris Walentinowitsch Issachenko ( Russian Борис Валентинович Исаченко ; born December 26, 1958 in Brest ) is a former Soviet- Belarusian archer and current sports official.

Career

Isachenko reached second place at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow and thus won the silver medal. Before the games, he had no notable successes. Even after the games, he remained without a medal at world championships . Only at the European Championships in 1982 did he secure the silver medal with the team and at the European Indoor Championships in 1983 and 1987 as a team European champion. He was also able to win individual silver in the hall in 1983.

At the Soviet championships Issachenko did not win a title. After the end of his career, he began working as a sports official. He held various positions at the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sport from 1979 until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. From 1991 he worked at the Belarusian Ministry of Sports. From 1997 to 1999 he took over the presidency of the Robin Hood Archery Club and also worked there as a trainer. Isachenko was involved in the Belarusian Archery Association and was coach of the Belarusian national team in 1998. Since 2002 he has been a member of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus .
