Sophie Dodémont (born August 30, 1973 in Pont-Sainte-Maxence , Oise ) is a French archer .

Career

Sophie Dodémont won the 1993 Mediterranean Games in Languedoc-Roussillon both in the individual and together with Nathalie Hibon and Carole Ferriou in the team classification.

Sophie Dodémont returned to the international level in 2008 and took part in the Olympic Games for the first and only time in the same year as part of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing . In the individual competition, however, she lost just in the first round with 106: 107 against Anja Hitzler from Germany and was eliminated early. Furthermore, she started in the team competition together with Bérengère Schuh and Virginie Arnold for France. The three of them reached the semifinals after beating Poland, where they lost significantly to the eventual Olympic champions from South Korea . In the following battle for third place, they won 203: 201 against Great Britain and thus won the bronze medal.

Dodémont currently lives in Eaubonne , Val-d'Oise .
