List of Olympic champions in skeleton

The list of Olympic champions in skeleton lists all winners as well as the second and third placed at the Olympic Winter Games in skeleton , broken down by men and women, since 1928. In the further part, all skeleton athletes who have won at least one Olympic medal are listed. The individual nation ratings conclude.

Competitions

Since the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City , the skeleton competitions for men and women have only included one discipline:

  • One of the men in the 1928 and 1948 Games in the official competition program and regularly since the 2002 Games with a total of six competitions.
  • One of the women since the 2002 Games with four competitions.

So far, twelve gold medals have been awarded in the skeleton.

Medalist

  • Placement: Indicates the order of the athletes. This is determined by the number of gold medals. If the number is the same, the silver medals are compared and then the bronze medals won.
  • Name: gives the name of the athlete.
  • Country: Name the country for which the athlete started.
  • By: The year the athlete won the first medal.
  • Until: The year in which the athlete won the last medal.
  • Gold: states the number of gold medals won.
  • Silver: states the number of silver medals won.
  • Bronze: states the number of bronze medals won.
  • Total: states the number of all medals won.
