Gregor Stähli (born February 28, 1968 in Zurich ) is a former Swiss skeleton driver. He was three times world champion (1994, 2007, 2009) and won two Olympic bronze medals.

In 1989 Stähli drove a skeleton race for the first time. In the following year he won a bronze medal at the world championship in Königssee . In 1992 he became vice world champion in Calgary , in 1993 he won the bronze medal at the World Championships in La Plagne , and in 1994 the world championship in Altenberg followed . After these successes he resigned and devoted himself to studying business administration at the University of St. Gallen . In between he tried his hand at bobsleigh and athletics, and in 1995 was sixth in the 100-meter run at the Swiss championships.

When he heard that skeleton would become an Olympic sport again, he tried a comeback in 1999 and was able to establish himself again at the top of the world immediately. In 2000 he became vice world champion for the second time at the World Championships in Igls . He won the bronze medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics . This was followed by a silver medal at the 2004 European Championships in Altenberg and at the 2005 World Cup in Calgary, as well as the 2006 European Championship in St. Moritz . At the 2006 Winter Olympics , he was third for the second time. On the day of his birthday, Stähli became world champion for the third time at the 2009 World Championships in Lake Placid at the age of 41. In Skeleton World Cup Staehli won ten races, in the 2001/2002 season he won the overall World Cup. He is also an eleven-time Swiss champion .

After Stähli had not been able to compete since November 2009 due to a thigh injury, he announced his resignation in November 2010.
