Juerg Wenger
Jürg Wenger is a former Swiss skeleton rider .
Jürg Wenger from the BSC Säuliamt started in international competitions between 1991 and 2003. He was 13th at the Skeleton World Championships in 1991 in Igls . In January 1993, he came sixth in the top ten for the first time in a World Cup race in Oberhof . In 1994 he finished seventh at the World Championships, a year later he achieved his best result in a World Cup race as third in Altenberg . In the same year Wenger also celebrated his greatest success when he became world champion in Lillehammer ahead of the Austrian Christian Auer and the Canadian Ryan Davenport . His best placings in the overall World Cup were sixth in the 1992/93 and 1994/95 seasons. In 2000 and 2002 he was third in the Swiss championships.
