List of Olympic champions in luge
The list of Olympic champions in luge lists all the winners as well as the second and third places of the competitions in luge at the Olympic Winter Games , broken down by men and women as well as the individual competitions, since 1964. In the further part, all luge runners who have been Olympic champions at least once are listed. The individual nation ratings conclude.
Competitions
A total of 48 gold medals were awarded at the Winter Games. Thomas Köhler and Paul Hildgartner are the only athletes who were able to win gold in both single and double.

- Placement: order of the athletes. This is determined by the number of gold medals. If the number is the same, the silver medals are compared and then the bronze medals won.
- Name: Name of the athlete.
- Country: The country for which the athlete started. When changing nationality, the country for which the athlete won the last medal is named.
- By: The year the athlete won the first medal.
- Until: The year in which the athlete won the last medal.
- Gold: states the number of gold medals won.
- Silver: Number of silver medals won.
- Bronze: Number of bronze medals won.
- Total: Number of all medals won.
