Ute Rührold (now Ute Klawonn) (born December 9, 1954 in Zerbst ) is a former German toboggan runner .

She won the silver medal in luge at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo and Innsbruck in 1976 . In 1972 she failed because of Anna-Maria Müller and in 1976 Margit Schumann stood in the way of her Olympic victory. She had her greatest individual success when she won the European Championship in 1972. At the World Championships in 1972, 1973, 1975 and 1976 she won the silver medal, and in 1974 the bronze medal.

Ute Rührold was married to the GDR handball player Wolfgang Böhme . This marriage ended in divorce. Ute Klawonn (née Rührold) now lives in the second marriage in the Rostock area and works there as an employee in the event service.

In 1972 and 1976 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
