Kurt Brugger
Kurt Brugger (born March 17, 1969 in St. Georgen near Bruneck , South Tyrol ) is a former Italian luge and mountaineer .
Kurt Brugger was a long-time member of the Italian luge team. With Wilfried Huber he won the gold medal in the doubles at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer . In 1992 in Albertville and in 1998 in Nagano , they each took fifth place.
At world championships Huber and Brugger won three medals: in 1990 in Calgary they came second, in 1993 in Calgary and 1995 in Lillehammer, they took third place each. They won silver twice at European championships: 1992 in Winterberg and 1994 at Königssee .
Today Brugger is part of the coaching staff of the Italian national luge team.
