Jochen Pietzsch
Jochen Pietzsch (born December 1, 1963 in Halle an der Saale ) is a former German luge rider .
The Thuringian, who starts for the ASK Vorwärts Oberhof , became Olympic champion in doubles together with Jörg Hoffmann at the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary . In addition, the two celebrated numerous other successes such as the three-time success at world championships. Jochen Pietzsch works as a sports teacher at a Thuringian community school. He has a daughter with his wife Kerstin Moring .
In 1988 he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in gold for his Olympic victory.
