Hans Stanggassinger
Hans Stanggassinger (born January 5, 1960 in Berchtesgaden ) is a former German luge athlete .
He and his partner Franz Wembacher have achieved some outstanding successes in doubles.
- 1981 World Championship in Hammarstrand : 3rd place
- 1982 European Championship in Winterberg : 3rd place
- 1983 World Championship in Lake Placid : 3rd place
- 1984 European Championship in Olang : 2nd place
- 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajevo : 1st place
He was also the German two-seater champion in 1981, 1983 and 1984. With a height of 1.91 m, his competition weight was 112 kg.
After his active time, Stanggassinger was a ranger in the Berchtesgaden National Park .
