Fritz Nachmann
Fritz Nachmann (born August 16, 1929 in Kreuth ) is a former German luge rider .
His first major success was winning the bronze medal in a two-seater at the Luge World Championships in 1955 , together with Josef Strillinger . With him he was then in 1957 and 1958 world champion in the two-seater. At the 1962 World Cup , he then competed with Max Leo and won the silver medal. A year later he became world champion in the single seater. In 1967 he was able to win the silver medal in singles at the European Championships . He also won the bronze medal in doubles at the 1968 Olympic Games in Grenoble , together with Wolfgang Winkler . On September 12, 1959, he and his partner Josef Strillinger received the Silver Laurel Leaf from the Federal President.
