Angelika Dünhaupt

Angelika Dünhaupt (born December 22, 1946 in Hahnenklee-Bockswiese ) is a former German luge athlete .

Angelika Dünnhaupt started for VfL Wolfsburg . She celebrated her greatest success at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , where she took bronze behind Erika Lechner from Italy and her compatriot Christa Schmuck . However, she benefited from the controversial disqualification of the tobogganists Ortrun Enderlein (1st place), Anna-Maria Müller (2) and Angela Knösel (4) from the GDR. At the European Championships the year before, she won the silver medal. She became German champion in 1967.

On November 27, 1968, she received the Silver Laurel Leaf for her athletic achievements.
