George Bryant
George Philip "Phil" Bryant (born February 22, 1878 in Melrose , Massachusetts , † April 18, 1938 in Marshfield , Massachusetts) was an American archer .
Bryant studied law at Harvard University in Cambridge , Massachusetts. He then worked as a lawyer in Boston . In his free time he devoted himself to archery.
He celebrated his first successes as an athlete at the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis . He won gold medals in the Double York Round and the Double American Round ; there was also a bronze medal in the Team Round (team classification). Between 1905 and 1913 Bryant was five times American champion.
