Lyudmyla Leonydowa Arshannykova ( Ukrainian Людмила Леонидова Аржанникова ; born March 15, 1958 in Kamjanske , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Soviet - Dutch archer .

Career

Lyudmyla Arshannykova took part in three Olympic Games : in 1988 she took fourth place in Moscow in both the individual and the team competition. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona she was part of the delegation of the United Team , with whose team she won the bronze medal. In the individual, she reached 21st place. After the Olympic Games in 1992, she had ended her career and moved with her husband to the Netherlands, where he was active as a water polo player in Amsterdam . In 1996 , however, she took part in the Olympics again for the Netherlands in Atlanta and finished the individual in 15th place. At world championships she was with the Soviet team in 1985 in Seoul and 1987 in Adelaide world champion, she also secured silver in 1985 in the individual competition and in 1991 in Krakow in the team competition. She was European champion ten times, and was also the Soviet individual champion in 1984 and 1986.
