Ki Bo-bae ( kor. 기 보배 ; born February 20, 1988 in Anyang ) is a South Korean archer .

Career

Ki Bo-bae has already celebrated great successes in her career. At the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou , she won the gold medal with the team. At the 2011 World Championships in Turin , she also won the bronze medal with this, and Ki Bo-bae won gold with the mixed team. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , Ki Bo-bae was a double Olympic champion when she won both the individual and the team competition. In 2013, Ki won gold in both the mixed and women's teams of South Korea at the World Cup in Belek.

Due to a form low due to a shoulder injury, Ki failed to qualify for the South Korean national team for the 2014 season. In addition to her training, she also worked as a sports commentator for the South Korean broadcaster KBS for the 2014 Asian Games . In three national elimination tournaments, Ki finally qualified for the national team again for 2015.

At the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju , Ki set the world record with 686 out of 720 points to 72 arrows, which her compatriot Park Sung-hyun held for eleven years with 682 points. Four weeks later, on August 2, 2015, she won her first individual world title.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , Ki Bo-bae won the gold medal again with the team. She won the bronze medal in singles after losing to her South Korean team-mate Chang Hye-jin in the semifinals .
