Melanie Skillman (born September 23, 1954 in Reading , Pennsylvania ) is a former American archer .

Career

Melanie Skillman part of the US squad at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul , as the team competition in archery his debut in the Olympic competition program was. In the individual, Skillman first reached the semi-finals, which she finished with 311 points in tenth and thus missed the final. With the team, which also included Deborah Ochs and Denise Parker , she made it to the finals. The US-Americans finished the competition with 952 points and were, like the Indonesians, level on points behind the victorious team from South Koreawho scored 982 points. In the jump-off for the silver medal, Skillman, Ochs and Parker lost 67:72 against Indonesia and thus received bronze.

At the national and regional level, Skillman secured the US title in field archery in 1985, and she was eight-time state champion of Pennsylvania .
