Guo Dan

Guo Dan ( Chinese  郭丹 , Pinyin Guō Dān ; * December 20, 1985 ) is a Chinese archer . She was part of the Chinese squad for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and won the silver medal in the team competition .

Career

Guo Dan reached fifth place with the team at the 2005 World Cup in Madrid . At the World Cup, which took place two years later in Leipzig , she was unable to maintain this result with the team and came in seventh. In the individual competition of the 2007 World Cup, Guo Dan reached 13th place. This year she and the team also achieved good World Cup placements with a third place in Antalya and a first place in Varese .

She was a member of the Chinese team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . There she takes part with the team and individually. With the former, Guo Dan survived the quarter-finals against India with 211 to 206 and was able to prevail against Great Britain in the semifinals.
