Takaharu Furukawa ( Japanese 古 川 高 晴 , Furukawa Takaharu ; born August 9, 1984 in Aomori ) is a Japanese archer .

Takaharu Furukawa has so far participated in three Olympic Games . In 2004 in Athens he finished 18th in the individual, with the team he reached 8th place. In 2008 in Beijing he only competed in the individual competition, which he finished with 33rd place. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London he won the silver medal in singles after losing to Oh Jin-hyek in the final . Together with Yu Ishizu and Hideki Kikuchi , he took 6th place in the team competition .

Takaharu Furukawa is studying at Kinki University .
