Cyrus Edwin Dallin (born November 22, 1861 in Springville , Utah , † November 14, 1944 in Arlington Heights , Massachusetts ) was an American sculptor and archer . He was particularly interested in the Indians of North America.

Dallin won the bronze medal in an American duel at the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis with the team, the Boston Archers . In the individual competitions he finished 8th and 10th respectively.

Dallin was an artist who also studied in Paris. For the city of Boston he erected a monument to Paul Revere as the winner of a tender . In 1916 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters and in 1933 to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .

In Arlington, the museum and a school are named after him.
