Yuan Shu-chi ( Chinese 袁叔琪 ; born November 9, 1984 ) is a former Taiwanese archer .

Career

Yuan Shu-chi started archery in 2001 and participated in the 2002 Asian Games in Busan . There she won silver with the team and gold in the individual. In 2004 she took part in the Summer Olympics in Athens . In the individual , she was able to advance to the semi-finals, where she was finally defeated by the South Korean Lee Sung-jin with 98: 104. In the competition for bronze she was defeated by the British Alison Williamson with one point difference. In the team competition, however, she managed to win the bronze medal together with Wu Hui-ju and Chen Li-ju .

In her second Olympic participation in Beijing in 2008 , she was eliminated from the individual in the second round against the future Olympic champion Zhang Juanjuan . Also in the team competition she remained without a medal and finished ninth with her teammates.
