Tariq Lamptey (born September 30, 2000 in London ) is an English football player on the right-back position .

Career

Lamptey played for many years in the various youth departments of Chelsea FC , where he was very convincing. He made 29 games for the U23s and one goal in the Premier League 2. At the end of 2019, Lamptey made his professional debut in the Premier League for the Blues . The game was won 2-1 against city rivals Arsenal . In January 2020 Lamptey was sold to Brighton & Hove Albion on Deadline Day . They paid around 3.3 million euros for the youngster. He said that he found the way to develop best.

National team

Lamptey has so far gone through all youth departments of the English national team . Among other things, he played in the U20 Elite League .
