Bernardo , full name Bernardo Fernandes da Silva Junior (born May 14, 1995 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Bernardo started his career at Red Bull Brasil . In January 2015 it was awarded to AA Ponte Preta . In January 2016 he moved to Austria for FC Red Bull Salzburg . He made his debut on matchday 21, 2015/16 in the game against FC Admira Wacker Mödling .

In August 2016, he moved to the German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig , with whom he received a contract valid until June 30, 2021.

For the 2018/19 season, Bernardo moved to the English Premier League at Brighton & Hove Albion . He signed a contract running until June 30, 2022.

His father of the same name (* 1965) was a Brazilian national player and was active in the Bundesliga with FC Bayern Munich in 1991 .
