Leandro Trossard (born December 4, 1994 in Maasmechelen ) is a Belgian football player who has been playing for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League since the 2019/20 season .

Career

society

Trossard began his professional career at KRC Genk . He made his debut in the First Division on December 4, 2012 against KAA Gent . In order to gain match practice, he was loaned out several times.

In the 2018/19 season, Trossard became Belgian champions with Genk. In exchange for a transfer fee of 20 million euros, Genk's contract was terminated and Trossard signed a new four-year contract with the English club Brighton & Hove Albion .

National team

On March 28, 2016, he made his debut for the Belgian U-21 national team in the European Championship qualifier against Montenegro . In the 1: 2 home defeat in Leuven , he came on for Youri Tielemans in the 76th minute .

In September 2018 he was nominated for the senior national team of Belgium for the first time , but has not yet been used.
