Ezequiel Matias Schelotto (born May 23, 1989 in Buenos Aires ) is an Italian football player of Argentine origin.

family

He owes his last name to his great-grandfather, who comes from Italy. He once immigrated to South America from the small Ligurian town of Cogoleto and settled in Argentina.

Career

society

Ezequiel Schelotto began his career in Argentina with CA Banfield before moving to Europe in July 2008 and joining AC Cesena . With Cesena direct walkover from the succeeded to Serie C1 in the Serie A .

Schelotto then moved to Serie A club Atalanta Bergamo , but was immediately loaned back to Cesena for half a year. After another six-month loan to the Serie A club Catania Calcio , he ran for Atalanta.

Schelotto has been under contract with Inter Milan since January 2013 . In August 2013 he was awarded for a season to US Sassuolo Calcio . The northern Italian club also received the option to purchase 50% of the transfer rights to Schelotto.

During the winter break of the 2013/14 season he left Sassuolo and switched to Parma FC on loan for the second half of the season due to a strange exchange of players . In this exchange he was given to Parma together with his teammate Jonathan Rossini . In return, Nicola Sansone and Pedro Mendes moved permanently to Sassuolo, and Aleandro Rosi was loaned to Sassuolo for half a year.

For the 2014/15 season , Schelotto moved to Chievo Verona on loan together with Rubén Botta . On August 31, 2015, his contract with Inter Milan was terminated.

In November 2015, Schelotto Sporting joined Lisbon . At the end of August 2017 he moved on to England for the Premier League at Brighton & Hove Albion , where he signed a three-year contract. In the middle of this engagement, he was awarded to his ex-club Chievo Verona in January 2019 for the rest of the current 2018/19 season.

National team

Schelotto made his debut for the Italian U-21 national team on November 13, 2009 against Hungary . In total, he made six appearances in Italy's U-21s. On August 15, 2012, he ran against England for the first time for Italy's senior team .
