Rubén Alejandro Botta Montero (born January 31, 1990 in San Juan ) is an Argentine - Italian football player who is under contract with CA San Lorenzo in his home country.

Career

Rubén Botta began his professional career at the Argentine club CA Tigre , where he was used on March 22, 2009 for the first time in the Primera Division . In 2012 he gained his first experience in international games when he took part in the Copa Sudamericana with Tigre . His team was able to advance to the final of this competition, but had to admit defeat to São Paulo FC . Botta himself only missed a single game of the knockout phase of this tournament due to a red card suspension and was able to score two competition goals. At the Copa Libertadores 2013 he met four times in the group stage, but was eliminated with his team in the round of 16 against Club Olimpia .

In March 2013, the midfielder, who has both an Argentine and an Italian passport, signed a five-year contract with Seria-A-Club Inter Milan , which brings him one million euros per season. Since Botta's contract with Tigre did not end until the summer of 2013, he continued to run for the Argentine club. He suffered an injury to the cruciate ligament and meniscus of his left knee in the first leg of the 2013 Copa Libertadores match against Olimpia. This meant that Botta, who was loaned by Inter for half a season to Serie A rivals AS Livorno , had to pause the entire first half of the 2013/14 season . In January 2014 he returned to the Milanese.

For the 2014/15 season Botta moved to Chievo Verona on loan together with Ezequiel Schelotto . After that season, Inter announced their move to CF Pachuca in the Mexican Liga MX .
