Michael HF Brock

Michael HF Brock (born November 28, 1961 in Biberach an der Riss ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman . He has been a board member of the Liebenau Foundation since 2011 .

Life

After his ordination as a deacon in Rottenburg am Neckar in 1990 , he worked in Neugereut . On 27 June 1991 he received by Walter Kasper , Bishop of Rottenburg-Stuttgart , in the Basilica of St. Martin in Weingarten , the ordination . In 1992 he became vicar in Kirchheim unter Teck ; 1994 Pastor of the parish Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche Sommerrain . He was deputy dean of the Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt dean's office (1995–1999) and chairman of the Stuttgart-Neckar parish (1995–1999) and dean of the Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt dean's office (1999–2001).

In 2001 Michael Brock was appointed pastor of the Stuttgart Cathedral Church St. Eberhard and was city dean of Stuttgart from 2001 to 2011. He was also regional dean in the political region of Stuttgart and director of the liaison office of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart to the Verband Region Stuttgart. Until 2009 he was chairman of the entire church community in Stuttgart.

Since 2011 he has been a board member of the Liebenau Foundation, a social, health and education company with around 350 social offers and services at over 100 locations and around 7,500 employees.

On February 1, 2002 Michael Brock was appointed Papal Honorary Prelate by Pope John Paul II .

In 2005 he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Carlo Furno and invested in Magdeburg Cathedral on October 1, 2005 by Anton Schlembach , Grand Prior of the Order. From 2013 to 2017 he was Prior of the Southwest German Province; his successor is Winfried Schwab , abbot of the Benedictine Abbey in Neuburg near Heidelberg .
