Ramón Arias , full name Ramon Ginés Arias Quinteros (born July 27, 1992 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.81 meter tall defensive player Arias was at least from the Clausura 2011 in the first division defensors . From then on he played 63 games in the Primera División by the end of the 2012/13 season and scored four goals. He also played eight times in the Copa Libertadores (no goal) in 2012 and 2013 . In the 2013/14 season, 21 more league games (one goal) followed with Arias' participation. He was also used four times in the Copa Libertadores 2014 , in which Defensor only failed in the semi-finals (no goal).

In the 2014/15 season, Arias signed a contract with the Argentine club CD Godoy Cruz after the Apertura at the end of January 2015 and also played in the club's friendly match against Estudiantes de San Luis . Defensor club president Daniel Jablonka then announced that the change would not take place because the Argentines had not kept to their agreements. Arias returned to the Montevideans. Overall, he came in that season 27 times (one goal) in the Primera División to train. On June 23, 2015, he moved to the Mexican club Puebla FC for a year on loan . With the Mexicans he played 15 top division games and five Copa México matches . He did not score a competitive goal. In June 2016 he joined LDU Quito . With the Ecuadorians he played in 18 league games (no goal). In the first days of January 2017 he was signed by Club Atlético Peñarol , where he has been used 18 times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league and five times (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2017 (as of August 11, 2017) .

National team

Arias was a member of the Uruguayan U-17 selection at the U-17 South American Championship in 2009 and at the U-17 World Championship in 2009 . In the course of the latter tournament he was used three times. From his debut, which he celebrated under coach Roland Marcenaro on April 19, 2008 in the game against Chile, he has played a total of 22 matches with the U-17s and scored one goal , according to the AUF . On July 27, 2009, Diego Aguirre made his first appearance in the game against the USA in the Uruguayan U-20 national team . For this team he completed 25 international matches and scored one international goal. He took part with the U-20s in the U-20 South American Championship 2011 and the U-20 World Championship that year. There he played five or two games. 2012 was Arias member of the Olympic Team of Uruguay at the Olympic Summer Games in London . In all three tournament games with Uruguayan participation, he was used there. He made his debut in the run-up to the games on April 25, 2012 against the Egyptian selection. According to the AUF, a total of six selection missions are recorded for him.
