Alfonso Menéndez Vallín (born May 31, 1966 in Avilés ) is a Spanish archer who became Olympic champion in 1992.
Alfonso Menéndez only took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona . There the Spanish team with Juan Holgado , Antonio Vázquez and Alfonso Menéndez surprisingly reached the final in front of their home crowd . In the final, the Spanish team beat the Finns and won the gold medal. In the individual competition Menéndez had finished 42nd place.
