Emily Woodruff
Emily Woodruff , b. Smiley (born April 19, 1846 in Cincinnati , Ohio, † March 28, 1916 in Berwyn , Illinois) was an American archer .
Woodruff took part in the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis , where she finished in fourth place in both individual competitions. In the Team Round she was superior to the competitors with the Cincinnati Archers ; this “gold medal” is not always officially counted. Her husband, Charles Woodruff , also took part in the 1904 Olympics.
