The platinum tenors are a classical vocal trio consisting of tenors Gary Bennett , Béla Mavrák and Thomas Greuel . They are best known for their joint appearances with André Rieu and his orchestra on their tours and television specials.

Gary Bennett was born in Australia. After studying mathematics and physics, he took up private singing studies, after which he gradually turned to various opera stages. Gary Bennett lives in Cologne .

Béla Mavrák was born in Austria to Hungarian parents. A vocal study at the Music Academy in Belgrade (since 1989) was followed in 1994 by the artistic diploma at the Cologne University of Music. Since then, Mavrák has been involved in various ways on international opera and concert stages. Béla Mavrák also lives in Cologne .

Thomas Greuel was born in Germany. He completed his vocal studies, which he began at the Cologne University of Music in 1987, with the stage entrance examination in 1993. During his studies, Greuel was engaged for the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, where he initially remained under contract until 1996. Engagements at various German opera houses followed, until he returned to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf in 2001. Thomas Greuel lives in Bad Münstereifel .
