Plate technology
As board technology is called one of the ways as potters or pottery , a sculpture or a vessel build. Clay slabs can be made in different ways:
- With a plate roller or a wooden roller, the clay is rolled out between 2 strips to form a plate,

Then the panels have to be dried slightly, and only when they are leather-hard are they processed into vessels and sculptures with a lot of slip . There are various techniques for forming clay pots. In the simplest production, clay plates are put together and the transitions smoothed (construction technique). The earliest ceramic finds are evidence of the traditional plate process.
