Playa Medina
The Playa Medina is a beach on the Caribbean coast of Venezuela on the Paria Peninsula .
geography
Playa Medina is located on the north side of the Paria peninsula, in the state of Sucre . Arismendia is the administrative district to which Playa Medina belongs. Río Caribe , 15 miles away, is the closest town. The beach is a bit isolated and not that easy to get to. But it is precisely this seclusion that is the reason for its beauty and uniqueness. Approaches are possible by car or by boat.
The name of the beach comes from the colonial times and goes back to a representative of the Spanish crown who had the surname Medina . Not far from Playa Medina is the well-known chocolate factory Chocolates Paria, which exports products all over the world.
climate
The average temperature in the region is between 19 and 23 ° C. The water temperatures reach their highest value in August with up to 30 ° C. Otherwise they are usually between 18 and 25 ° C.
Flora and fauna
The coconut trees, which are up to 20 meters high and provide pleasant shade, belong to a former plantation.
tourism
There are small cabañas and eco hotels right on the beach. Several grills and food stands are available for day tourists.
