The Playa Pinochet de la Barra is a beach in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the north of Cape Shirreff it is immediately east of Punta Pingüino .
Chilean scientists named him after Óscar Pinochet de la Barra (1920–2014), director of the Instituto Antártico Chileno .
