Player versus Environment

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Player versus Environment ( PvE ), in English "Player against Environment", describes a game mode in massively multiplayer online role-playing games . In PvE, in contrast to player versus player (PvP), the focus is on defeating computer-controlled opponents and not a mutual test of strength between individual players. The biggest difference to PvP is a mostly undisturbed way of playing, as griefing of other players does not necessarily occur. In contrast to PvP, PvE is the "standard game principle". The main focus is on developing your own character by solving tasks.
