Pobjoy Niagara

The Pobjoy Niagara was a British air-cooled 7-cylinder radial engine . The engine was manufactured by the Pobjoy Airmotors company from 1934 and was characterized by its unusual design for a radial engine. Due to the reduction gear built into the motor housing, the motor shaft emerged eccentrically from the motor. The Niagara was an engine often used in light and test aircraft. The entire range of engines produced by Pobjoy Motors consisted of 7-cylinder radial engines with very compact dimensions and very high speeds. Pobjoy Airmotors enjoyed a high reputation for their motors due to their small size, low operating costs, low noise level and their original technical solutions.
