The Police Music Zurich City is the oldest Swiss police music corps, together with the corps music of the Zurich canton police.

As the official representative orchestra of the Zurich City Security Department, the Zurich City Police Music, founded in 1902, is an important and welcome link between the Zurich City Police and the population. Performances take place at internal events and ceremonies of the Zurich police and rescue organizations or as their musical ambassador at home and abroad. As the official game of the Zurich guild Zur Waag, the police music has also been parading at the Zurich Sechseläuten parade since 2014.

The Zurich City Police Music is one of the few non-military music groups in Switzerland that regularly takes part in international tattoos with high-quality evolution shows. Her engagements in recent years have led her to a. to Sydney, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dublin, Rome, London, Berlin, Ystad and many other cities worldwide. This year London is on the program again, next year the two-week performance "in the Champions League" at the International Tattoo Moscow / RUS.

The active police officer and trumpeter Oliver Hess is president of the orchestra. The musical direction lies with Werner Horber, the retired chief recruits games of Swiss military music. Markus Hangartner is the reel manager, while Jürg Marugg is the music officer.
