Poly film printing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Polyfoliendruck is a variant of the flat pressure . It is also referred to as "dry printing" because this type of printing does not print with color but with transparencies. The realization is preceded by the production of special foils coated with silver bromide . When it is heated, the silver bromide layer is "burned" onto the printing substrate and is permanently bonded to this layer.

Polyfoil prints often contain holographic effects, as these are enhanced by the optical impression of numerous layers of foil.

Examples are the security threads (silver stripes) on banknotes and magnificence tokens on EC cards , but also security features on concert tickets and tickets.
