Polyphagia (ecology)

As polyphag animals are designated with a broad food spectrum. The polyphagia (from ancient Greek πολύ poly "a lot" and φαγεῖν phagein "eat"; literally "healthy appetite") which is Monophagie opposite.

Polyphagous herbivores are animals that are not omnivores in the sense of carnivores and herbivores, but, in contrast to monophagous herbivores, use many different plant species for their diet.
